It sounds like a Christmas carol: three Texas tenors, three singing siblings, five dancing sisters, a crooning chicken catcher and a grandmother cracking up the host.

Last night it was time for semi-finals on “America’s Got Talent” and, in addition to vocal performances by Kermit and Miss Piggy (“Don’t Go Breaking My Heart”) and David Hasselhoff (“Feelin’ Good”), not four but five acts made it through when the judges were unable to decide who should get the last slot.

Advancing to the next round are country trio the Texas Tenors, septuagenarian jokester Grandma Lee, Kentucky crooner Kevin Skinner, hoofers Fab Five and family trio Voices of Glory.

10 more semi-finalists take the stage next week for their chance at the $1 million prize.

The “America’s Got Talent” grand finale airs Sept. 15.
